Overview
Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Live-in Housekeeper for their large, period property located in a charming small village near Kettering, Northamptonshire. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in maintaining the smooth daily running of the household.
Job duties:
Responsibilities of the Live-in Housekeeper near Kettering include:
- Undertake housekeeping duties including cleaning, laundry, purchasing, and arranging contractors in collaboration with the existing housekeeper
- Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and organisation throughout the property
- Regular cooking for the Principal, particularly in Asian cuisine
- Provide care for three elderly dogs and one cat, including taking them to veterinary appointments, administering medication as necessary, and regular walks
- Ensure the security and safety of the premises
- Other ad-hoc duties, as required
Candidates must be/have:
- Previous experience as a Live-in Housekeeper within a private household
- A capable cook, ideally experienced in Asian cuisine
- A valid driving licence
- Proficiency in English to a high level, both verbal and written
- Comfortable working with pets
Accommodation
A separate bedroom, bathroom, and sitting room provided on the top floor of the house will be initially provided, with the possibility of relocation to a house in the village for long-term accommodation.
Hours / days
Thursday – Monday, 12 – 9pm – working in tandem with a part-time housekeeper who covers the morning shift.
