Overview

Our client is looking for an experienced and committed Domestic Couple (Housekeeper and Estatesman) to join their prestigious private estate in Worcestershire. The couple will be responsible for the daily running of this beautiful estate and working farm.

Job duties:

Responsibilities of the Domestic Couple (Housekeeper and Estatesman) in Worcestershire include:

Housekeeper

• Perform thorough cleaning tasks on a regular basis to ensure all rooms are maintained to the highest standards
• Dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and polishing of all surfaces and fixtures
• Laundry duties including washing, ironing, and folding clothes
• Procurement of household supplies and stocks
• Carrying out the weekly food shop
• Running errands, including pick up/drop off to airports/stations etc
• Wardrobe organisation, cupboards, and storage areas to maximise space and efficiency
• Procurement and inventory management of cleaning supplies and household essentials
• Occasional meal preparation and assistance with dinner service for formal gatherings or events, including recruiting and managing staff for events
• Managing external contractors
• Occasional pet care

Estatesman

• Maintenance of the estate grounds, including mowing lawns, trimming hedges, and edging walkways
• Conduct routine inspections of the property to identify and address any issues related to landscaping, irrigation, or outdoor structures
• Plan and execute planting schemes to enhance the aesthetic beauty of the gardens, flower beds, and ornamental features
• Coordinate with external suppliers or nurseries for the procurement of plants, seeds, and landscaping materials
• Oversee the maintenance and repair of outdoor structures, pathways, fences, gates, and signage
• Coordinate with contractors and service providers for specialized repairs or construction projects as needed
• Implementation of security measures

Candidates must be/have:

Housekeeper

• Proven experience as a professional housekeeper in a private residence or luxury hospitality setting
• Excellent knowledge of cleaning techniques, products, and equipment
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
• Discretion and respect for the privacy and confidentiality of the employer and their guests

Estatesman

• Proven experience in an estate management role on a private estate
• Strong knowledge of horticultural practices, plant care techniques, and landscaping principles
• Physical stamina and the ability to perform outdoor tasks in various weather conditions
• Attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing maintenance issues
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Each individual must hold a valid driving licence. No pets and no children.

Salary
Up to £70,000 (combined).

Accommodation
A separate one-bedroom apartment, with an open-plan living room and kitchen will be provided.
